little bit of powder dusting.. it keeps it from feathering. How can I apply lipstick so it lasts longer?
1. Soften You Lips By Applying A Lip Balm, Then Use A Dry (Clean) Toothbrush To Get Rid Of Dead Skin, The Balm Will Protect Your Lips And Stop Them Getting Irritated, Whilst The Brush Gets Rid Of Any Flaky Bits.
2. Blot Off Any Excess Balm With A Tissue And Then Apply A Bit Of Concealer Using A Thin Brush To Paint Over The Lips.
3. Apply Your Shade Of Lippy, Using A Lip Brush. Trace Around The Edges Of The Lips And Draw The Colour Inwards, Keeping Your Mouth Open So You Can Get The Colour Right In.
4. Put A Layer Of Translucent Face Powder On Your Lips - This Might Sound Weird But It Helps Soak Up Any Oil And Will Make Your Lipstick Last Longer. Gently Pat It In With Your Index Finger, So The End Result Is Smoother.
5. Finally Use Your Lip Brush To Apply Your Second Coat. Press Your Lips Together Afterwards To Seal In The Colour.
Firstly, prime your lips with a lip prime - MAC does a great one.
And liner your lips with a lip liner (it must be the same shade as the lip stick), this stops bleeding a smudging.
Then apply the lipstick. Some people then add lip gloss, but I don't think this makes a difference to lasting time - just what you personally prefer.
But you should great a great lipstick first, MAC, Bourgeois, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent %26amp; Bobbi Brown have great ranges.
(Tip: Bourgeois %26amp; Chanel are made with the same ingredients so it maybe just cheaper to use Bourgeois ^^)
I've heard that if you go over your lips with a sheer blush after you put on the lipstick it will last longer. I've never tried it myself, but it supposedly works.
Also, you could just color in your lips with lip liner. It looks the same as lipstick. And if you put a coat of sheer gloss over it, it makes it look shiny and will probably make it last longer.
I hope I could help! (:
First line your lips with a lipliner and fill the lips in. Then put the lipstick on with a lip brush to be precise (instead of directly applying it). Finish with a lipgloss. Put the gloss only on the centre of the bottom lips -otherwise it will bleed. Put a concealer all around your lips to seal the lip colour in.
apply foundation to ur lips first, so if u have a liquid foundation thats the color of ur skin, apply to lips first. a powder works too, but you have to apply with ur finger or a sponge not a brush. it keeps the lipstick longer
I don't like lipliner, so never use it. Instead I put a dab of foundation on lips first to act as a base. Then put on one coat with brush or from the tube, blot, repeat. A light brush of translucent powder can help to 'set' it.
Try Mac's Prep + Prime Lip.
Try a Lip Lock, Like Lipscote. Or She Laq make up sealer by benefit.
