Hi, was wondering if anyone knows what is the longest lasting lipstick out at the moment or tried any that is very good. pls tell me the reason for your suggestion

I bought Sexy red lips. I didn't believe it when people told me it wouldn't wear off like so many others, but it is so true. I ate, drank the whole day and nothing came off. I was so happy that my color stayed just as good.
I am really picky with lipsticks because some are greasy or drying but this is neither.
I would totally recommend this brand in any product you choose to buy.
If you are thinking of buying a lip gloss I would recommend you Chanel Levres Scintillantes Lip-gloss. Its not sticky nor gummy. Lasts so long its unbelievable. It has some mild fruity flavor to it. This one is more expensive about 31$ but its totally worth the price. When it comes to lipsticks its better to have one thats extremly good and not to have many but not really good quality.

#2 choice: Revlon Colorstay Lip Color--in Red or Scarlet. This is great too!
These lipsticks are so long-lasting, that you need an oil-based make up remover to get it off of your lips.

The commercial is covergirl. The lip stick comes in those blue boxes. If you go to any store like target, wal-mart, or walgreens go to the cover girl section and you will see them. But be aware it is more like permant paint ! It made my lips dye out really fast and did'nt come off for 2 days. Hope this helps !

Here's an insider trick of the trade. As a fashion photographer I would ask the makeup people to give us the lasting lips when I knew a shoot was going to take a while in order to cover the material a client wanted.

I bought some in Hawaii just for the fun of it, put some on to see what color it would turn, and I couldn't get the stuff off, even after scrubbing my lips for an hour straight (not a smart idea, let me tell you!). But if you want longlasting, thats the way to go!

i love maxfactor LIPFINITY. it last sooo long u can even sleep and wake up with it the next day. so is MAX WEAR which comes with a seperate gloss. lipfinity has a top coat which can be used only if u need a shine. if not the lipcolor is just as awsome but not too shiny.

im sure cover girl and revlon is almost the same but cover girl dried up on me after a few weeks so i dont buy CG products.
the only downside of these lipcolors is that if u dont use a lipstick remover u will have to use a drop of baby oil to remove. sometimes its a pain when ur soo tired...but its worth using a long lasting color for special occations... which u dont need to touch up every hours or so.

I am absolutely obsessed with Juicy Wear from Lancome. It comes in a variety of shades and some of them are sheer. What I like best about it is that it doesn't dry my lips out, or get an odd texture when I reapply.
The lesson that I learned in applying any all day lipstick, is that the key is NOT to apply it to your bottom (or top) lip and then rub the lips together to get an even coat. You need to apply a separate coat of your long wearing lip stick to EACH lip (and DON'T rub them together), and then let it dry for a minute before applying the gloss. This will keep the texture of the product ultra smooth, and the color rich.
As for the gloss, I love the one provided by the Juicy Wear. It's ultra-moist, and not sticky. Once the gloss and the lip pigment mix together, they have sort of a waxy feeling to them that makes my lips feel like I'm wearing balm instead of lip stick. Although the high shine look only lasts for a couple of hours, my lips look moisturized even when I don't have time to reapply the gloss.
Another neat trick to use involves basic lip liner and matte lip stick. If you line your lips and then apply a coat of matte lip stick, and then blot and reapply about three times, your pigment will last ALL DAY. Then all you have to do is carry around some clear gloss. It's awesome.
I've also had some success by applying a product called DeGroovy from Benefit (available at macy's or sephora.com) all over my lip after I line it. Then I apply lipstick as usual. DeGroovy is a clear wax that will accept any pigment, and prevent the lipstick from soaking into the lip, keeping your color looking fresh. Plus, the wax is like a balm on the lips, keeping them from drying out during the day.
Another product to try is Super Gloss from Makeup Forever (available at sephora.com and Sephora). It's a waterproof lip gloss that won't come off on your glass or sandwich. Unlike most lip glosses that are oil or waterbased, this one has a silicone base that keeps it from soaking into your lips. The shine lasts for 5-6 hours, and the pigmented glosses look like lipsticks on the lips, they're so loaded with pigment. Smudge proof/ long lasting red lipstick?
I love the retro pinup look and i like to wear red nails and red lipstick, however, i can never rock the red at school because it smudges too easily. I have tried many kinds of red lipstick, retro red from N.Y.C, Mary Kay's red tango, fire and ice by revlon, and even cover up products like she-laq by Benefit, but none of them dry quick enough or stay on well enough for me. SO, does anyone know what kind of red lipstick will stay on very well. Or even a laquer product that will MAKE it stay on, is smudge proof, and drys in at least a half an hour?

don't forget to use a lip liner. go outside your lip liner with a little concealer- this will really help your lips be smudge proof.
after you apply the first coat of red lip stick, cover with translucent powder. apply another coat.

The glossier the lipstick, the easier it smudges, that's why lip gloss don't last as good as lipstick. I would suggest you put on a thin layer of liquid foundation all over you lip. Use a lip pencil to outline your lip n apply lipstick. Then blot with tissue after applying. Apply a light layer of powder with a fluffy brush. Then apply a second layer of lipstick. Your red lip color shud stay on longer with minimum smudging. Choose a lipstick that is not too creamy, most leading brands hv long staying formula now. Try avoiding oily food n blot your lips before eating. The base color shud still be there after your meal. Good Luck!

Loreal Infalliable lipgloss usually lasts for about 6 hours and is not sticky. The shine usually goes away but the colors last for a long time. It is found at drugstore and really cheap.Good long-lasting Lipgloss/lipstick?
My ultimate favorite is the CO Bigelow Apothecaries that you can buy at Bath and Body Works. They have MANY different flavors and they are really moisturizing and not sticky. my mum uses revlon colorstay overtime lipcolor and i see her putting it on at about 7.30 in the morning and it still on perfectly 10-12 hrs later. to get it staying on longer you have to make sure you have clean lips before applying and make sure not to lick or put lipgloss on until about five minutes after you have applied the lipstick. it is 2 sided (one side color one side gloss so u dont have to buy a seperate gloss). we live in aus so i dnt know exactly how much it would b in U.S.A but my mum says its about 5-10 dollars in U.S.A. Yes, the perfect nude lipstick that I've personally used myself, and on other clients was a drugstore brand called Revlon. It's called Revlon Nude Attitude. It's perfect because it has a light subtle nude pink undertone to it, and it will definitely look great on you.
It only costs about $7-$8, which is a pretty good buy compared to high-end nude lipsticks like MAC, which are about $14.
A method to make sure your lipstick stays on all day is to simply make sure that you've moisturized your lips with a lip balm or chapstick product. This will act as a base for your lips and will help keep your lipstick stay on!

I love my MAC lipstick but I find that the staying power isn't all that good.
I wondered if anyone had used MAC lip primer and if it makes a difference with staying power?
I just find colours like 'snob' which are dramatically unlike my natural lip colour wear off to the edges of my lips and create a ring around them. Even when I first apply it, if I open my mouth a little it looks funny seeing the inside colour of my lip against it, and it licks off quickly.
I've seen people wear bright colours with no problems, what are some tips to fix this?

When I want to do the nude lips look, I apply concealer/foundation over my lips before applying lip color (step 3) so it can mask my pigmented lips. Also, instead of choosing a lip liner color that matches my lips, I use a nude color lip liner. I basically follow these steps I got from this site

Long Lasting lipstick clumps!?
How do you make the long lasting lipstick not clump? I have the Loreal Infallible one. I let it dry for the recommended time and then I put on the moisturizing top coat. When I put on the top coat I can see the lipstick coming off. Then it will stay on for a while and then if I move my lips a lot (talking) it will start clumping and get all nasty. Also, any tips for applying it because I usually miss a spot around the edges of my mouth making it look weird.

I use a great one from Estee Lader. It has the color on one end and gloss on the other end. After applying... you wait 15 seconds and place a gloss over the color when the 15 seconds is up...It works!

I have used lip liner all over my lips in the past, just make sure it matches your lipstick perfectly so you can't see it underneath. Now it put a very light coat of foundation , whether I am using liquid or mineral, and it seems to help. I think you should wear a long lasting matte finish lipstick and then put a clear or pink tinted gloss on over, it will look best in photos, just remember to reapply the gloss before every picture if the gloss doesnt move around on your lips when you press them/rub them together
hm this is difficult, i love both looks. if you dont want gloss ALL over your lips you can always apply it to the center of your bottom lip and it sort of makes your lips ';pop'; or look a little more full.

We've been looking. This was in the RED family. Sis says that Agent had lead in it, which is what gave it that matte gray undertone beneath the red. It looked like flat matte paint on a barn that's been in the sun for years. Really pretty and subdued. This lipstick is so different - it is unlike all the glossy shiny reds. And now we cannot find a suitable replacement. You girls know how it sucks when they discontinue your favorite lip color - you go Secret Agent (pardon the pun). So, if you know this lipstick and used it, or know Prescriptives - do you know of any brand with similar type red matte color that looks like a weathered barn? I know this is a shot in the dark, but lipstick lovers will understand.

What's the best long lasting lipstick?
How long does it last? What about if you eat? How about being dry or caking?What's the best long lasting lipstick?
Hmmm if you want something more long lasting I think you should consider buying a lipstain. Benefit cosmetics makes a nicely colored one otherwise Covergirl has some on the cheaper side that work just fine (though have to be reapplied more often). The Covergirl lipstains also come in a variety of colors so that you can find the shade that suits you best. Benefit comes in only one shade. If you have dry/broken lips, you should invest in a good lip exfoliant. My lips chap badly in the winter season and for that I use Sara Happ's lipscrub, which have also been spotted used by stars such as Jennifer Aniston. The lipscrub by Sara Happ is pricey though I got my pot for 30 bucks + tax but I do find it lasts a long time. I'm sure if you look around you'll find cheaper (maybe even better) ones.

I'm not a really big fan of long lasting lipstick, because of the dry-lips feeling, but since I'm a Clinique freak, I like Really Raspberry, VERY long lasting and very nice color. As for lip gloss, It's DEFINITELY glosswear for lips Stellar Plum, Clinique too! It's a little bit glittery, your boyfriend will hate it, but your girlfriends will find it very cute. ;)

Can anyone recommend a good long lasting lipstick, that doesn't dry out my lips so much, that I can wear on my wedding day? I hate having to reapply lipstick over and over...so, any suggestions would be wonderful.

Maybelline Superstay. Will last for hours and hours, just make sure to let the color layer dry for 2 minutes before you put the gloss balm over it. The colors look brighter in the barrel than they do on your lips, so you might have to try a couple of colors to see what's right. Choose a slightly richer color than you usually wear; it will look good in the pictures!

to remove long lasting lipstick u should use the products special for remoing makeup, or something like nivea nettoyant and wash away all the sticky makeup on your face.
Use a good makeup remover and scrub it off. Of course then your lips will be red from all the scrubbing!!!

well, if you can't get rid of it, hide it by wearing cover up on your lips.. my friend does it cause she doesn't like pink lips..

Try using an oil based waterproof eyemakeup remover. I wear the long lasting lipstick from Revlon and take it off every night with my eyemakeup remover. Don't just use your fingers, rub it off gently with a cotton makeup pad like you would use to remove the eye makeup. Then use your cleanser and rinse and check it out, if it doesn't work, dry your lips %26amp; try it again, if it still doesn't... then I don't know. Good luck hun.

If that doesn't work try putting some vasaline on your lips, waiting 20 minutes and then brushing your lips with a soft bristled toothbrush. It is probably stuck because your lips are a little dry, and the vasaline/toothbrush will get rid of any and all dead or dry skin on your lips.
mix a little rubbing alcohol, make up remover, and clinique face wash and take a warm wash cloth and scrub it off. hopefully, you'll get enough off with the mix to cover it up with something else. there isn't really much else you can do.

Vegan sites seem to only have regular lipsticks. While I don't wear it often, I would like it to last for more than 20 minutes when I do decide to put some on.

use baby oil, or even cooking oil. Don't scrub her poor little skin! just wipe it gently. smear some on, wait a bit, then wipe it off. That stuff is oil soluble, not water. If that doesn't work well enough, chapstick or vasoline would help, too.
I use that brand, and when I want change colors, it's easy to get off with some oil if I'm home, or just a chapstick if I'm out.
Peanut Butter!!!!! Apply a little bit of peanut butter with a cotton swab to your daughter's face. The peanut butter will remove the oily substance from the listick and it will be come easier to remove! Good luck!
makeup remover. If you have baby oil/ baby oil gel....try that. Just make sure you use a scrub afterwards so you don't block her pores.

I used cold cream..back in the day that took off everything..
use make-up remover or baby oil, try olive oil anything greasy.
oh and hide your make-up somewhere out of reach for children?
