i tryed foundation, but it didn't really workBest nude/matte lipstick?
The best ';nude'; shade always depends on your natural lip color. Example: If you have really red lips, you will need to neutralized the red with a cool toned tan color. Always start with lip liner (line then fill lips completely with liner) then if you still need additional coverage follow with the matching lipstick, but many times when going for the nude look you can find a great pencil and cover with lip gloss.

Addion to the example here is what works for me...

I use the Mary Kay Nude lip liner and cover with Mac lip glass. this makes my lips lighter in color by far; yet still noticible. if you are really trying to make your lips dissapear try any of the following if applicable

Red lips~fill in with green concealer cover with a foundation that matches your skin color and finish with translucent compact powder

If your lips are light pink find a concealer that is lighter and repeat the above steps same for brown lips.Best nude/matte lipstick?
I use MAC Viva Glam lipstick and C-Thru lipgloss for a nice nude look. I recommend going to the MAC cosmetic counter and try on all the nudes that they have (they have a lot!).
here you may find some articles about makeup:

choose articles you may find useful, practice for some time and you'll soon be able to have such makeup

P.S. don't forget that it is actually evening makeup so wearing it daily probably won't make you look better ';]]
I've tried tons of nude lipsticks to get that color and none of them ever work because there's always going to be too much pink or peach undertones and pigment in it. So what I do is put on a little bit of chapstick and then use a concealer stick on top of it. It turns out the best. It looks exactly like those pictures, nude and matte. Foundation won't work (like you said) because it's not thick enough. Don't waste your money on lipstick because it will never be the right color, trust me I've tried to find one! N.Y.C. cosmetics makes a cheap concealer stick that works really well. If you don't know what I'm talking about it looks like this but it's not yellow:

It comes in a bunch of different shades from light to darker so you can get one that matches your skin tone. And make sure you use chapstick underneath so it doesn't dry out your lips and look flaky.
