How can i remove long lasting lipstick? Regular water or oil based removers don't really take it off! Thanks!

most likely your lips are temporaily stained, especially if its is a red one. just sleep with it on and when you wake up, it will come off due to the natural oils of your skin. How can i remove long lasting lipstick? Regular water or oil based removers don't really take it off! Thanks!
Surprisingly enough, if it doesn't come off after being scrubbed with water, baby wipes will do the trick. They already have soap in them, as well as moisturizers in some cases. Try scrubbing with those. If not, don't apply long lasting lipstick! Re-apply regular lipstick that looks the same and costs less! How can i remove long lasting lipstick? Long lasting lipstick, does it have lead in it?

Some one just told me long lasting lipstick has lead in to make it stay on. Is this true?Long lasting lipstick, does it have lead in it?
yes and too many harmful chemicals ehich can harm your lips permanantlyLong lasting lipstick, does it have lead in it?
yes indeed, its better not to use it.
All lipsticks have lead. Why? Because lead is used for the colors of the lipsticks!

There's nothing to worry about this issue coz they just put enough lead to lipstick, which won't harm the woman's health!

I heard that thing way b4, and this was what i got from the net...

Comments: False. This fear-mongering email is long on misinformation and short on verified facts. Laboratory tests have shown that some name-brand lipsticks sold in the U.S. do contain trace amounts of lead from the dyes used in their manufacture, but the lead content of these coloring agents is strictly controlled by the Food %26amp; Drug Administration to meet currently accepted safety standards and pose no serious health threat, according to a statement from the American Cancer Society.

Moreover, the message is both inaccurate and misleading when it implies that cancer is the main health hazard posed by lead exposure. Though it is indeed listed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as a probable human carcinogen, lead has other, more direct health effects -- including brain damage, nerve disorders and reproductive problems -- that are far more worrisome.

Thus the information in this email is totally untrue and it should not be forwarded to others. Lipsticks manufactured by the companies named in the message do not contain dangerous levels of lead. Of course, it might be possible that illegally imported lipsticks or those procured in countries that do not stringently regulate the manufacture of cosmetics might contain dangerous substances. However, in most modern nations, lipsticks bought from reputable cosmetics companies are likely to be perfectly safe.

Lead in lipstick causing cancer

I have recently read that many lipsticks contain lead and this can cause cancer - is this true?

This question has come up because an email circulates from time to time saying that lipsticks contain lead and therefore cause cancer. This isn't true. The email appears to be one of the many hoax emails claiming that a variety of everyday products can cause cancer. We've had deodorant, shampoo, washing up liquid and now lipstick. None of these claims are true and just spread alarm unnecessarily.

This particular email says that a number of well known brands of lipstick contain lead. It claims that the longer your lipstick stays on, the more lead it contains. The email goes on to tell you how to test if the lipsticks you wear contain lead. It suggests that you put some lipstick on your hand scrape a gold ring across it and if the lipstick stripe turns black then it has lead in it. None of this is true.

Will scratching lipstick with a gold ring show you how much lead is in it? Basically no! No such test could give you this information. This seems to be based on some ancient alchemy myth but has become rather garbled.

The UK has strict laws about the production of cosmetic products. Manufacturers cannot sell a new product to the public before it has been safety tested. An organisation called The Cosmetic Toiletry and Perfumery Association (CTPA) provides information about regulation of cosmetics in the UK. The CTPA abides by regulations set out by the European Community. These list substances that are banned from cosmetics. Lead is banned from all cosmetics, apart from hair dyes. You are most likely to be exposed to lead if you work in the paint industry or make lead batteries. The Health and Safety Executive monitor workplace health in the UK. They say that lead cannot be absorbed through the skin. If you do have too much lead in your body, the likely results are headaches, sickness, tiredness and irritability. Long term lead exposure may cause problems with kidneys and nerves, not cancer.

In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulates the lead content in food and cosmetics. They say that if there is any lead in lipstick, it is likely to be such a small amount that it will not be harmful. Another American organisation called the National Lead Information Centre provides information about lead hazards. We have searched their website and have not been able to find any references to lipstick posing a threat.
SERIOUSLY?

Lead is not in any kind of lipstick. Give me a freakin' break. Lead is a dangerous substance to ingest, and they aren't going to put it in lipstick.

Geez.

What is the best long lasting lipstick that doesn't dry out your lips and doesn't require a gloss overcoat?

What's the best long lasting lipstick out there?

I remember a few years ago when everyone had the 2 part long lasting lipsticks- the first part was the color, and the second part was the gloss/shine. While it lasted longer than normal lipstick, I didn't like the way it felt on my lips. Have they gotten better since then? I'm a juicy tubes and lip gloss kinda gal, but I'd like to use longer lasting stuff now. What's the best (and by best I mean the best of the cheap stuff you can buy at Target and CVS) stuff out there now? What's the best long lasting lipstick out there?
I go for Max Factor Lipfinity. The color stays true for hours and doesn't come off.

If your lips are too sensitive, Burt's Bees lip shimmer is great. Color stays true, unless when you eat or drink, it comes off. But it's healthy for your lips, and has this minty sensation I'm sure you'll love. It comes in variety of colors. What's the best long lasting lipstick out there?
Maybelline and L'oreal tend to work pretty well...good luck!
maybelline matte lipsticks are good to keep the colour for long.and dior lip gloss tubes and loreal tubes gives that shine you've always wanted.try their different colours.it goes so well with the matte lipstick.
Covergirl Outlast - Lasts over 12 hours. Nothing will make it come off. Eat, drink, kiss, whatever. You can barely even wash it off before the 12 hours. Comes in a blue and silver box, sold at Wal Mart, drug stores, etc. I promise NOTHING is better, I have tried them all. It is 2 parts, the color in one tube and shine in another.

Good Luck....

Can anyone suggest a long lasting lipstick that won't dry out my lips?

Seems like I've tried them all and by the end of the day my lips are dried out. I have a feeling it's the ';sealer'; step that dries them out not the actual lipstick. What's a good long lasting lipstick ladies?! Thanks! Can anyone suggest a long lasting lipstick that won't dry out my lips?
The only thing that comes to mind is a product by Lorac called ';Co-Stars'; which is a double ended wand. On one end you have your lip color, which goes on super matte. On the other we have our clear gloss to add some sheen.

This product claims to last 8 hours. And trust me, I believe it. The clients I've had try this product have a hard time removing it a few seconds later. lol

Let some links for reference. Can anyone suggest a long lasting lipstick that won't dry out my lips?
I just recently started wearing lipstick so im not to sure about that. I usually just wore lip gloss, but anyways i was going to suggest maybe buying a lip stick primer like the one from MAC, because it moisturizes and holds the color. I know i want to buy it, because lipstick dries my lips out too.
OK, I can't tell you of the top of my head, because I can't remember the name, but if you go to a MAC cosmetic center near you, you can actually TALK to someone, a specialist. They can help you, 'cause MAC is a REALLY good brand!
Lipsticks from Clinique are long lasting and moisturize lips for hours.
Revlon has a lipstain called Just Bitten. It stains your lips and then I add my gloss or chapstick. There are only 4 colors, and its $12. I waited until a drugstore to have a buy 1 get 1 sale, and I bought it and got Blood Orange. It is a great red. Its also easy to control how much you are putting on. I always got dry lips from the others.
there is this new lipgloss coming out this winter that gives you the wet look and leaves your lips feeling good and mostuerized.

a star for you

Where can I find good long lasting lipstick?

I'm really sick of my lipstick wearing off after 30 minutes of it being on my lips...I've tried ';infallible lip color'; (the one from the commercial with Beyonce) and it was really good but it ran out so quickly :(

What is the best long lasting lipstick that I can find at a drugstore or common store like Target/Walmart???

Where can I find good long lasting lipstick?
My favorite is Maybelline Super Stay Lip Color and it lasts 16 hours.

You can get it at Wal-Mart.Where can I find good long lasting lipstick?
My favorite is the cover girl lasting lipstick. Sometimes I actually wake up with it still on. If you have a CVS or Walgreen's near you it sometimes is buy one get one free. Those drugstores also have a 100% return policy on make-up.
Try Max Factor Long Lasting lip color. Also a trick you can do is blot your lips lips with powder (that you use on your face) either before or after you put on your lipstick. Doing that will help your lip color stay on longer.
walmart they are cheaper and more variety
  • hair highlights
  • What is the best long lasting lipstick you can buy at a drugstore? lipliner too?

i have fair skin, dark blonde hair and blue eyes, any good colors anyone could recommend? What is the best long lasting lipstick you can buy at a drugstore? lipliner too?
Ok, as far as longlasting lipsticks/liners go, I'd have to say Revlon Colorstay soft and smooth. It's the only one I've found so far that doesn't dry out, get caky/flaky and crumble off, and I only put it on 2x a day, and it looks great. It goes on like a regular lipstick, no moisturizing topcoat, and really does stay on well. I've just decided that anything with a moisturizing topcoat that you have to re-apply every hour and remove with an oil based make-up remover just isn't worth my time. Also, if you buy your lipstick from Rite Aid, you can return it at any time (remember to keep your receipt) even after you've used it. I've done this several times when picking out new lipcolors, that way I don't have to keep a color that really doesn't look good on me or that I don't like. Experiment and have a little fun. Just make sure that your colors complement one another. Good luck! What is the best long lasting lipstick you can buy at a drugstore? lipliner too?
go with light colors not colors that are really noticable. try a light brown lip liner, get maybaleean (i spelled that wronge) oh well. and for the lip stick get clear
i have a friend that swears by just getting which ever one is the most expensive, you get what you pay for when it comes to makeup.
Covergirl has a great one. I forget what it is called but it comes in a blue box and has a lip color and a gloss in one box. This stuff lasts through eating and kissing! I normally do not reapply until about six hours later! I would recommend Burgundy, plums or rose colors for you
    nude to light pink colors.

    try Cover girl.
As you can see from my picture, I am fair as well.

Choose a lipliner that is just a shade darker than your lipstick, and find a good shade by looking for one that is as close to your own natural color as possible.

Remember to blot after applying lipstick, and you can also try a neat trick and set your lipstick with a translucent powder, and then apply a gloss.

I like L'Oreal brands or Almay, they are a little more pricey, but longer lasting and have to buy less often.
