I am fond of collecting make-up, but I seldom use it. Now I have a lot of lipsticks and other blushes.
However, I am not sure how long lipstick and other make-up can be stored before it is no longer useable. And how do I know if it is no longer useable?
I'm afraid I might irritate my skin if I use my make-up now. :(How long does a stored lipstick last?
if you want them to last long. i usually put my lipstick ect. in the refrigirator. it helps it last long.How long does a stored lipstick last?
Cream makeups like lipstick should generally be replaced every 6 months since they'll spoil, while powdered makeups can keep for much longer. Some lipsticks give off a bad smell when they spoil, but I'm not too sure about other products. I think the best method to use here would be to throw out any cream based makeups older than 6 months.
Lipsticks-Generally up to 2 years after first purchase
Powder-2 months
Concealer - up to 12 months
Liners-up to 2 years but must be sharpen regularly
Foundation-up to 12 months
Eyeshadow-up to 2 years
Mascara-Every 2-3 months
This is just a general idea if the makeup starts to smell or irritate the face then toss it immediately.

get a square of toilet paper and pull one side off (it's doubled).
place 1 sheet of the toilet paper to your lips and powder them over the tissue with your powder brush while at the same time blotting against the tissue.I need a 8hour long lasting waterproof lipgloss or lipstick!!?
the covergirl outlast doublelipshine stuff works really well, a little too well since sometimes at night i cant even get it off! so that stuff has real staying power
Maybelline Superstay lasts 8 hours, and feels really smooth, and not cakey. I would reccomend that or the long lasting stuff from CoverGirl.
you should use a lip stain. those last really long. they kind of make your lips feel dry if you apply lip stains on alone, so put a lip balm or gloss on top of it. i suggest revlon's ';just bitten'; lip stains or max factor's lip couture, which already includes a lip gloss to go on top.

Longest lasting Lipstick?
Hi, was wondering if anyone knows what is the longest lasting lipstick out at the moment or tried any that is very good. pls tell me the reason for your suggestion

Clinique is one of the best brands in cosmetics its no expensive and its super good quality. If you have any skin problems or allergies you can be sure with this brand.
Personally I would recommend you Clinique Long Last Soft Shine Lipstick, its about 14$. It comes in 16 different colors.
I bought Sexy red lips. I didn't believe it when people told me it wouldn't wear off like so many others, but it is so true. I ate, drank the whole day and nothing came off. I was so happy that my color stayed just as good.
I am really picky with lipsticks because some are greasy or drying but this is neither.
I would totally recommend this brand in any product you choose to buy.
If you are thinking of buying a lip gloss I would recommend you Chanel Levres Scintillantes Lip-gloss. Its not sticky nor gummy. Lasts so long its unbelievable. It has some mild fruity flavor to it. This one is more expensive about 31$ but its totally worth the price. When it comes to lipsticks its better to have one thats extremly good and not to have many but not really good quality.

The new YSL ones are great. They come in a fantastic little package with lipstick in one side and lipgloss in the other. They've got YSL on the top of them in gold too so you look really classy carrying them around! A bit pricey tho. If you want something a bit cheaper try Max Factor lipfinity. My friend uses the bright red shade and she says it stays put all day. Hope this helps. x

*And here's a tip for you, with this lipstick, when applying this, it's a 2 step process...
Step 1: The Paint for Lips - Apply an even layer of the Paint for Lips, then wait until it dries completely, a minute or so.
Step 2: The Moisturizing Top Coat - For moisture and shine apply the Moisturizing Top Coat over the Paint for Lips, you can reapply the Top Coat as often as you would like.
#2 choice: Revlon Colorstay Lip Color--in Red or Scarlet. This is great too!
These lipsticks are so long-lasting, that you need an oil-based make up remover to get it off of your lips.
A tip for removing it at the end of the day, would be to use Baby Oil. Baby oil removes the long lasting lipstick while moisturizing your lips even more.

Really suggest reconsidering wearing lipliner, it makes a big difference. i've had great experience with l'oreal lipstick, they go on great and seem to last awhile
The commercial is covergirl. The lip stick comes in those blue boxes. If you go to any store like target, wal-mart, or walgreens go to the cover girl section and you will see them. But be aware it is more like permant paint ! It made my lips dye out really fast and did'nt come off for 2 days. Hope this helps !

(the glossy coat had gone away but the colour itself still was going strong).
